I am blessed by the fathers I have in my life, and the fact that they are all laid back when it comes to gifts. More often than not they'll be thrilled with an Amazon gift card or a round of golf at their favorite course. (Though living far away from them means they get these gifts way more often than they should! Remembering to add in mailing time is NOT my strong suit!)
In case you're still looking for inspiration here are a few ideas!
A Reusable Beer/Soda Carrier by WalnutStudiolo on Etsy. What a great way to carry homebrews or mixed 6 packs with you to summer barbecues! I saw one of these last summer and have been loving these ever since.
Try This At Home by Richard Blais, the winner of Top Chef All Stars. Blais was known on the show for his quirky re-imagining of recipes using technology like liquid nitrogen. The pictures alone are cool to look at, and the techniques are fascinating!
Whisky Stones live in your freezer and will cool down your drinks without diluting them. Perfect for the wine you forgot to chill or the fancy scotch you got your Dad last Christmas. (Obviously getting the fancy scotch to go along with this is a home run!)
One of the things I miss most about summer in New England? The seafood. Lobster, of course, and fresh scallops...Hancock Gourmet Lobster Co. (and many other mail order companies now) can at least give us a taste of a Massachusetts summer. They have a variety of seafood, and they even have split top hot dog buns!
What house do you support? There's a Game of Thrones mug for each of them! We already have the Stark mug, and I think we could use a complete set.
What are you getting the father's in your life this year?
