The boys will be off from school tomorrow and since they are still excited about holidays I'll make a special dessert and maybe we'll spend the day making some homemade decorations. They are so ernest when they create things right now and I love watching it. My oldest will take his time so everything in his picture is just how he wants it, and my youngest will patiently explain every piece of his creation to me when he realizes that my grownup mind is too serious to recognize what exactly the Ninja is doing in his picture. Even five years into motherhood I am blown away by how one word or look from them can make my heart stop in wonder for a second.
In case you're still looking for something to make this Valentine's Day, I've rounded up 10 of my favorite desserts for a little inspiration! Several are no-bake or require very little effort and all of them will make any day a little more special.
Will you be celebrating tomorrow? Do you go prefer to go out or stay in?
These look delicious! I think V-Day will be a quiet night at home for us, too. A family movie night sounds perfect, actually. I've been thinking I'd like to make a special dessert for my hubby, but he just rejoined Weight Watchers, so that throws a bit of a wrench in my plans. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat does put a damper on things. Maybe a fruit based dessert? Have a great weekend too!
ReplyDeleteYes! that's his favorite kind anyway. I think I need to try baked apples or poached pears.
ReplyDeleteYum! Thank you for sharing all this delicious-ness!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's Day sounds perfect. We're going to visit my oldest daughter this weekend, so we'll probably take her to dinner tomorrow night. I'm excited to see her. She leaves for Kenya in a couple of weeks so this is my last chance to see her before then. I plan to make the most of our time together this weekend :)
